Anton Hribersek was born in 1946. He adores his littoral zone, Skrljevo - the place where he was born, the hard and yet warm stone, the sea, the eternal CA (dialectal expression for "WHAT", sounds like "CHA"), the generosity of people, art. No wonder he expresses himself best through his art. Anton Hribersek is one of many admirers of the area he comes from - the area where he grew up, had fun, experienced love and disappointments, where he paused in his walk but always went on down the rocky pathless ways of life. He fed himself with the blue of the sea, longingly looking at the dear motives that were disappeadng. He dreamed of a world of different colored shapes. His dreams became true on his paintings. These are stories about what was once experienced and seen. The only way to communicate with his works is through emotions, provoked by geometrical shapes that build the composition. He has been painting for many years and exhibiting for the last 25 years. He expresses himself through the technique of artistic shaping (hammering) of copper pJates, but aJso through oil on canvas or wood. He finds his motives in his surroundings. He has had many individual and collective exhibitions at home or abroad and he has even been awarded for his painting.
